There was a time when I found a lot of Rihanna's popular pop songs to be annoyingly repetitive but eventually many of those songs grew on me. As such, when I saw this album on the charts, I thought I should give it a listen (I've yet to listen to a Rihanna album). On a totally unrelated note, my mind was blown when I recently learned that Rihanna pronounces her name ree-AN-na (rhymes with Princess Diana of Wales) not ree-AH-na (rhymes with Princess Anna of Arendelle from Frozen).

Summary:
Prior to listening to this album, I had heard the singles "Work" and "Love on the Brain" - I really liked the latter. Unfortunately, the rest of the album didn't interest me to the same degree. I did, however, like the sound of "Higher." It reminded me of her vocals on "FourFiveSeconds".
