Taylor Swift - Red (2012)

Reason for Listening:
Cycling back on some artists I've listened to in 2021. Decided to listen to a Taylor Swift album next. Red appears to be Swift's next highly ranked album which I have yet to blog.
I didn't plan it, but apparently the re-recorded version of this album will be released in November (i.e., Taylor's Version), so the timing is pretty good.

Summary:
I think the album failed to consistently excite me. Maybe I didn't give it my full attention. With that being said, there were several popular tracks which I was already familiar with: "22", "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", and "I Knew You Were Trouble.". Interestingly, none of these tracks are on the artist's top 10 most popular songs on Spotify. However, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, because my gut says that I like 1989 more than Red.*

Overall Rating: 4.0/5
Favorite Song: "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"

*My gut was based on the songs "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space" being songs I like more than "22" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together". However, it turns out I gave 1989 the same rating as Red: 4.0/5. Reading my summary for Red, it appears I didn't like many of the other tracks on the album.
