A friend recently shared that he/she rediscovered the artist (with respect to having listened to the artist at a younger age and not seeing the music in the same way as today). This prompted me to listen to her debut album.

The message in this song is powerful, but I'm rating it in how I mostly rate songs which is roughly by enjoyment ("Pieces of You"); I felt the acoustic guitar had a familiar sound
"Adrian" has a good sound but I'm not fond of the lyrics

Summary:
Mainly only familiar with her hits (namely "Hands", "You Were Meant For Me", and "Foolish Games"), it was interesting to listen her debut album in its entirety (though "Hands" was not from her debut album). In particular, listening to the album led me to realize that "You Were Meant for Me" is a breakup song (perhaps I knew, but I don't remember knowing).* Overall, I'm glad I gave it a listen, but I only enjoyed about half of the album.

*I initially wrote "sad love song" but I went looking for a better term and "breakup song" appears to be a good fit. While looking at the Wikipedia page for it, I learned that "I Will Always Love You" is also a breakup song.
