Festival Plan: I equally enjoyed music by Cold War Kids and Black Pistol Fire. Being more familiar with music by Cold War Kids, I will opt to see them over Black Pistol Fire.

Pre-Festival Thoughts:
Cold War Kids is an all-around solid band and was just different enough from most of the other rock bands to separate themselves from the pack. On a different note, the simplicity of their sound reminds me of The White Stripes.

*Despite knowing the lead vocalist is male, I was able to imagine the lead singer on these tracks as being a female with a deep voice.

Post-Festival Thoughts:
Since Cold War Kids mainly overlapped with Particle and Black Pistol Fire, I decided to relax near the Midway Stage and caught their entire set - except for the time in between where I fell asleep. I'm not absolutely sure if heading over to the Midway Stage early worth missing Michael Franti perform "Say Hey (I Love You)."* However, Cold War Kids is a good band and so I don't regret it.
