First listen.
This track has an oddly familiar sound. ("Alone")
--20220816--
Continue with track 12.
--20220818--
Second listen.
Moved "Alone" from "2" to "3"
--20220821--
Third listen.
Moved "Forever" from a "1" to a "3"
Moved "Cold December" from a "0" to a "1"
Listened to "By Your Side" an additional time. Moved it from a "1" to a "2" (the interpolation of "Hey There Delilah" is chill)
3: "Alone"; "Forever";
2: "Yungen" (ft. Jack Harlow); "No Deal"; "Quiet Storm" (ft. December Joy); "Time Kills (Love Birds)"; "Pieces";
1: "Never Get Over Me"; "Stone Rolling"; "Sweet Little Lies"; "Fading"; "Pt. II"; "By Your Side"; "Cold December";
0: "I Know It"; "Rockstar Heart"; "Keep Going"; "Never Find Us"; "Mafia"; "Me vs. The World"; "Everything"; "Married Next Year"; "Better";
N: "Druski Phone Skit";
Summary:
Generally this album had good vibes, but (on the first listen) I lost some interest in the album prior to the halfway point. This means the latter half of the album generally imbued a feeling of "sounds good" without any particular track standing out. Being unfamiliar with Rod Wave's music, I didn't even know that the second to last track, "By Your Side", was the first single released for the album. I was able to consume more of the album over the second and third listens, but even then I felt there was a barrier to enjoying some of the later tracks.
Overall Rating: 5.0/5
Favorite Song: "Forever"
