Echosmith - Firefly 2015

Festival Plan: I have a decent desire to see this band perform and would go see them perform if the scheduling works out.

*Fixed the order of the setlist ('Come Together' and 'Tell Her You Love Her' were swapped) on 20150704.

Pre-Festival Thoughts:
Echosmith is an indie pop band consisting of four siblings.

I like the band's sound, and I could imagine how I'd enjoy it more live.

While I really enjoy 'Bright' and to a lesser extent 'Cool Kids', I only rated the band a 6 out of 10, but with a 7 out of 10 for my desire to see them perform.

Excellent**: 'Cool Kids' [2+] -- I initially didn't like this song much, but it grew on me, 'Bright' [3+] -- it had a country/Lumineers sound to it
Above Average: ~
Slightly Above Average: 'Tell Her You Love Her' -- this one sounded better the second time around

On The Fence: 'Come Together'
**Songs with 2 or more '+'s are considered 'Excellent'. The number of '+'s are found in brackets.

Setlist:
1) Let's Love
2) Talking Dreams
3) Come Together

-- the lead singer says she loves this song and dedicated it to those with a special someone:
4) Tell Her You Love Her
-- two members of the audience (one male and one female) are brought up to the stage to dance (not that exciting):
5) Come With Me

-- two more songs:
-- newest single:
6) Bright -- at the end of the song, the band doesn't sing into the mic, instead depending on the audience to sing
-- last song:
7) Cool Kids

Post-Festival Thoughts:
First off, I would start with saying that 'Tell Her You Love Her' has to be at least "Above Average", if not "Excellent [2+]".

In any case, while I didn't identify Echosmith as a must-watch the way I did with Walk the Moon or Falls, the scheduling worked out in such a way that I got to see the band perform and I'm glad I did.

In particular, the band's performance left a positive impression in my mind, because every time I've been to Target, I pick up an Echosmith album and think about buying it.*

*I also look for Walk the Moon's first album and a Falls album, but to no avail.
