Reason for Listening:
Someone I follow on Spotify was listening to The Strokes and I haven't listened to The Strokes in a while.
From 2009 to 2019, my peak scrobble for The Strokes occurred in 2011: 42 scrobbles, more than half of the 71 scrobbles made during that time period.
Released 20031028.
11 songs. 32:15. Room on Fire (2003)

First listen.
Second listen.
3: "Reptilia";
2: "12:51";
1: "What Ever Happened?"; "You Talk Way Too Much"; "Under Control";
0: "Automatic Stop"; "Between Love & Hate"; "Meet Me in the Bathroom"; "The Way It Is"; "The End Has No End";
Summary:
I like the sound of the album. It's very cohesive, but perhaps that's because there's too much of the same sound.
"Reptilia" is hands-down my favorite and it happens to also be the most popular on Spotify as well. Interestingly, the single only made it to #19 on US Modern Rock, while "12:51" made it to #15 on US Modern Rock and fails to make it on the band's top 10 most popular songs. It is possible this is due to the song's inclusion in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. In fact, that's probably why I like it best.
Overall Rating: 4.0/5
Favorite Song: "Reptilia";
Billboard 200
Peak Date: 20031114 | Peak Position: 4 | Weeks on Chart: 13
