Summary:
The song seems to be about dealing with a breakup by going out and dancing. The chorus reads "Look what you made me do, I'm with somebody new. Ooh, baby, baby, I'm dancing with a stranger." This song has a simple structure: verse (Sam Smith), chorus (Smith), verse (Normani), chorus (Normani), chorus (Smith starts and Normani joins in), outro. Overall, I like the song, but after listening to the single hot girl bummer, I can't see myself giving the song more than a 3.6. I ultimately decided on just a 3.0, feeling that the song was overly simple. Note that I'm not saying simple is bad. Rather, it's more like such simplicity does not fit my current mood.
