I learned today that this album is part of a series (The Classic Christmas Album series). I previously listened to the one for Perry Como. Other artists in the series include Luther Vandross, Johnny Cash, Barbra Streisand, and Sarah McLachlan.

First listen.
I think I like when this song is either slower or calmer ("The Little Drummer Boy")
Wow. This song is so fast-paced ("Kay Thompson's Jingle Bells")
So the other day I heard John Legend's cover of "My Favorite Things" on his holiday album, A Legendary Christmas. Seeing the song again on this album today made me wonder when the song started as a holiday song (because there's nothing particularly holiday about it). [According to the Wikipedia article for the song, "in 1964 Jack Jones was the first of many artists to include [it] on a Christmas album."
I prefer hearing a more distinct "Ave" more than slurred. I'm not sure how it's suppose to be sung though.

Songs in bold are the bonus tracks on the deluxe edition.
4: "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year";
3: "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!";
2: "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On an Open Fire)"; "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"; "Silver Bells"; "Angels We Have Heard on High"; "My Favorite Things"; "O Holy Night";
1: "Joy to the World"; "Winter Wonderland"; "Silent Night"; "O Little Town of Bethlehem"; "What Child Is This?";
0: "The Little Drummer Boy"; "Kay Thompson's Jingle Bells"; "Ave Maria";

Summary:
I'm not familiar with Andy Williams, but this was a solid holiday album. I estimate the album as being a 4.4 out of 5.

In choosing a favorite song, I double-checked to make sure that "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" should be rated higher than "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" After double-checking I agreed that the distinction is clear. In fact, it wouldn't be crazy to give the former a "5."

Overall Rating: 4.4/5
Favorite Song: "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"
