First listen. Deluxe edition.
Huh. John Legend's voices on "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)" doesn't sound like his voice on the other tracks. Unless maybe the composition of the song itself is the reason for the apparent change in voice. It sounds deeper. In any case, it reminds me of a prior cover, but I'm not sure which. Somehow it seems really out of place in the album.

Songs in bold are unique to the deluxe edition.
2: "What Christmas Means to Me (ft. Stevie Wonder);
1: "This Christmas"; "Christmas Time Is Here"; "Please Come Home For Christmas"; "Merry Merry Christmas";
0: "Bring Me Love"; "My Favorite Things"; "Baby, It's Cold Outside" (ft. Kelly Clarkson); "Christmas In New Orleans"; "Silver Bells"; "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" (ft. Esperanza Spalding); "No Place Like Home"; "Merry Christmas Baby / Give Love on Christmas Day"; "By Christmas Eve"; "Purple Snowflakes";
-1: "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)"; "Wrap Me Up in Your Love"; "Waiting for Christmas";

Summary:
Having enjoyed songs by John Legend in the past, I expected to fully enjoy his holiday album. Unfortunately, his sound paired with popular holiday tracks failed to resonate with me. His original holiday songs also failed to capture my attention.
