First listen.
What is the plural for "hippopotamus"? ["Hippopotami," "hippopotamuses," or "hippos."]

Second listen.
Decent but the Alvin and the Chipmunks version is classic to me ("Christmas Don't Be Late")
"A Willie Nice Christmas" is catchy, but for whatever reason I don't like it enough to be a "2."
For some reason I don't like this version. Something about the vocals. ("Feliz Navidad")
Nice original. It might lack the liveliness to be a big hit (e.g., "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey), but it's good.
Slow but somehow upbeat ("Present Without a Bow")
I like this version ("Mele Kalikimaka")
At first I had "Ribbon and Bows" at "0" and then I moved it to "1" and then I moved it to "2."
I thought from the first listen that I liked this version of "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" but during the second listen I felt as if only a "2" was appropriate.

3: "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"; "Mele Kalikimaka" (ft. The Quebe Sisters);
2: "Let It Snow" (ft. The Quebe Sisters); "Christmas Makes Me Cry"; "Present Without a Bow" (ft. Leon Bridges); "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas"; "Ribbons and Bows"; "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?";
1: "Christmas Don't Be Late"; "A Willie Nice Christmas" (ft. Willie Nelson and Trigger); "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer";
0: "Feliz Navidad";

Summary:
Despite not having heard Kacey Musgraves before, I loved the sound of this holiday album. As a starting point, I figured it deserved at least a 4.4 - tied with The Best Of Bing Crosby: [...]: The Christmas Collection (1999). I thought perhaps I could give the album a 4.6, but Merry Christmas (1994) currently has a 4.6 with a relatively strong song rating distribution; I could only justify giving this album a 4.6 if I adjusted Merry Christmas to a 4.8.

Overall Rating: 4.6/5
Favorite Song: "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"
