Summary:
Prior to listening to this album, I was mostly familiar with the movie and whichever hits have frequently played on the radio. Although I don't listen to Latin music in my free time, I heard and enjoyed a good amount of it in the past while social dancing (e.g., salsa). As a result, I like the mix of hits and other tracks that appeared on this album, but I wouldn't necessarily be increasing my exposure to the broadly associated genres. I take that back, I will consider listening to more music by Selena. Overall, the hits make it a strong album, but my unfamiliarity with the genre limits my appreciate of the album to a 4.6.
It's really a tough choice to pick a favorite between "I Could Fall in Love" and "Dreaming of You." I think ultimately I lean towards "Dreaming of You."
Overall Rating: 4.6/5
Favorite Song: "Dreaming of You"
Second Favorite Song: "I Could Fall in Love"
