Reason for Listening:
#16 on Billboard Top 200 (Week of 20191005).
Last Week: 15 | Peak: 1 | Weeks on Chart: 60.
After listening to beerbongs & bentleys, I decided not to listen to Dreamville & J. Cole: Revenge Of The Dreamers III, and instead skipped to this album by Travis Scott. While I wasn't in the mood for another hip-hop album (hence the reason for skipping Dreamville...), I decided to listen to the album because I had recognized Scott's head on the album cover (having previously seen it in the preview to the documentary about him on Netflix, Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly).
Released 20180803.
17 songs. 58:33. ASTROWORLD (2018)

First listen.
Hmm. Not sure how I feel about this abrupt switch in "Stargazing."
I'm not a fan of the switch in sound within the song "Stop Trying To Be God."
Songs which caught my attention: "Wake Up"; "Butterfly Effect";
Summary:
While I didn't particularly enjoy the album, I could sense it's artistic merit. I suppose it's kind of like looking at a painting and saying "I wouldn't hang that painting on my wall, but I appreciate and acknowledge it as a piece of art."
Overall Rating: 3/5
Favorite Song: "Wake Up"
