Remark: The International Ultimate Collection has all the tracks on the Japanese Ultimate Collection except for one, "Tokyo Road." The North American Ultimate Collection has all the tracks on the International Ultimate Collection except for two, "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" and "In and Out of Love." In addition, the North American release contains the country version of "Who Says You Can't Go Home" while the Japanese and Internal releases contain the rock version (Spotify calls it the "pop album version").

Notes:
--20191012--
First listen. Greatest Hits: The Ultimate Collection (International).
~Disc 1~
In addition to the songs I already knew, the only song I liked was "What Do You Got?" which was one of the two songs written for this album.
~Disc 2~
"When We Were Beautiful" has a pleasant sound to it, but I don't like it enough to add it to the list of songs which caught my attention.
Completed the second disc and listened to "(You Want To) Make A Memory - Pop Album Version" again.
I then listened to "When We Were Beautiful," "What Do You Got?" and "This Is Love This Is Life" again.

Songs which caught my attention: "Livin' On A Prayer"; "It's My Life"; "Bad Medicine"; "What Do You Got?"; "This Is Love This Is Life"; "(You Want To) Make a Memory - Pop Album Version";

Summary:
Although I have heard the band's more popular hits, it was typically more than passively (e.g., on the radio) and so their greatest hits album was less attractive to me than it would be to a fan.

I thought picking a favorite among greatest hits would be difficult. However, I only picked out six songs which caught my attention. Among those songs, I found myself liking "It's My Life" more than both "Livin' On A Prayer" or "Bad Medicine."

Overall Rating (Disc 1 & 2): 3.0/5
Overall Rating (Disc 1): 3.4/5
Overall Rating (Disc 2): 2.8/5
Favorite Song: "It's My Life"

Reason for Listening:
#120 on Billboard Top 200 (Week of 20220521). Weeks on chart greater than 2x the rank.
Last Week: 112 | Peak: 5 | Weeks on Chart: 252.

--20220512--
Second listen. Greatest Hits: The Ultimate Collection (International).
~Disc 1~
Haha. He yells "Guitar!" before the guitar solo ("We Weren't Born to Follow")
~Disc 2~
Stopped at track 4
--20220516--
~Disc 1~
Restarted at track 1 on Disc 1.
I associate this song with a David Copperfield special that aired on television ("You Give Love A Bad Name").

Songs are followed by their current rank on the artist's top 10 most popular on Spotify. 5: "It's My Life" =#3=;
4: "Livin' On A Prayer" =#1=;
3: "Wanted Dead or Alive" =#5=; "Bad Medicine" =#8=; "Bed of Roses" =#6=; "Always" =#4=; "In These Arms";
2: "You Give Love A Bad Name" =#2=; "We Weren't Born to Follow"; "I'll Be There for You" =#9=; "Who Says You Can't Go Home"; "No Apologies";
1: "Born To Be My Baby"; "Lay Your Hands On Me"; "What Do You Got?";
0: "Have A Nice Day";

"Runaway" =#7=
Summary:
For whatever reason, I think I got a better feel from the album this time around - at least with respect to Disc 1.

Overall Rating (Disc 1): 4.6/5

20220516 Comment:
A few days ago I started listening to this album because it had "weeks on chart greater than 2x the rank." However, I was writing up the post today when it came to my attention (via the pre-existing "Bon Jovi" label) that I had already made a post for this album. Interestingly it was one of the many posts I made within the first month of the start of this blog.
